[Q. Can I use fonts other than the brand font?]
A: These design guidelines do not restrict the use of fonts other than the brand font when necessary for conveying the appeal of the products or services in an environment in which the brand logo is correctly presented (please see the sample for reference). However, please make an effort to use good judgment in selecting well-designed fonts that improve the impression of the brand and emphasize its own sense of design.

[Q: I’d like to use Helvetica, but there is no suitable weight.]
A: We recommend the use of Helvetica Neue.
This font, Neue (meaning New), is a new, recently redesigned version of Helvetica. Neue has more variations with regards to weight and is superbly functional and utilitarian.

[Q: When I design tags with Helvetica Bold, the letters become illegible.]
A: We recommend the use of Helvetica Neue.
Helvetica Neue is uniquely legible even when used at a small size and has superb typographic functionality, giving your design stability.
Even if you use the same bold face, the letters remain clear and it is clear that it was designed with legibility in mind.

[Q: I tried to use Hiragino Kaku Gothic, but there is no suitable weight.]
A: We recommend the use of Hiragino UD Kaku Gothic.
UD (universal design) fonts are designed with ever-changing device environments in mind and have excellent legibility and functionality, so they are suitable for product tags or small-format printed materials.
